I along with two other deck cadets joined the Hemidonax at the Bukom anchorage as a 1st trippers on the 5th of April 1969. We boarded around 20:00hrs and immediately went on watches, berthing at Bukom some 2 hours later. The start of a great trip running in and out of Singapore for 9 months. Set me up well, for a further 40 years at seaa??a??

I did Three trips on her when she was the San Florentino belonging to the Eagle Oil Shipping Company. June 1959 to August 1960.I was the Second Steward, I really enjoyed my time on her.

Of the "h" ships I sailed on this was the happiest and certainly the most hard working. She was a character and had significant differences from the others.
