09/02/2007 - 19:04 | My first trip was on the Capsa in January 1957 as apprentice engineer and moved to the Ninella in August. Then on to the Vitrina in December 1957 - she was a great ship and crew. Later joined the Venassa on her maiden voyage from Kiel, and after that the Vexilla and then the Fragum for a couple of weeks - a real steam recip engine!! I finished my sea time on the Empire Parkstone to get sea time. It would be great to hear from any one from those times. Arthur Tuffee |
02/21/2006 - 11:55 | Congratulation Kees on an excelent web site. I stumbled on it and have been able to find the photos of the ships I sailed on. Thank you. Also made some contacts already of folk I sailed with. I was on the Capsa, Ninella, Vitrina, Venassa, Vexilla and Fragum, between 1957 and 1961. Wow the Fragum was great - steam up and downer!! Great memories. Arthur |
