| 06/15/2013 - 23:58 | I was on board for just 2 or3 weeks in nov/dec 1970 before starting my training after induction at Plymouth. I was alongside a lad even bigger than me and another blond lad named ( I think!) Mick Dunn. He was a Londoner and supported Chelsea F C. We started training together at Plymouth with Bill Curry in charge. Also I remember Commander Battrick as a lecturer there. his son Michael is on the list here and was on Aulica in my short spell. |

I remember steaming from Amsterdam to curaA?ao buenos aires, Baton Rouge Panama Canal Yokohama where I paid off and flew home via Alaska and Copenhagen. I then joined the rat race away from the M.N. I remember jim fell a Geordie engineer cadet and his mate I remember only as Stewart, a scots lad. |
