01/06/2014 - 15:43 | Stood by Harpa,first of the new 'H' Class Shell tankers built at Harland & Wolff's Belfast yard. Chief Engs. Mr Stephens & Mr Mayne. 2nd.Eng. Jeff Thalon (deceased). 3rd.Eng. J.Caughey. Relieved after a short time and sent as 2nd eng., to stand by Hemidonax building at Camell Laird. As the first of a new design Harpa had a lot of teething problems and had to return to Harlands after one week. She was later handed over to the Dutch Shell Group. |
