I have been involved with the ARCA since she was handed over by Mckeil to Shell in 2003 She will soon be replaced by a more modern and larger Vessel. |

The Diesel Generator Engine failed while the Vessel was in Thailand. The Vessel sailed to Singapore with only the Turbo Generator and a deck Generator was fitted. |

I joined the Helcion as Engineer Apprentice ( first trip ) in Cardiff Dry Dock and left at Tilbury Dry Dock 6 months later. |

I did just over 8 months on board as 4th Engineer the boilers were unique to only two ships at sea all other boilers of that type were in Power plants ashore. |
