04/02/2009 - 08:37 My e-mail address for anyone who remembers me is seanpmarsh57@yahoo.co.nz . I moved to New Zealand several years ago with my wife Theresa and young daughter Kirsty. For those interested my wife is a nurse, i used to be a contact coordinator/ supervisor for a moderate sized company which unfortunately was recently sold and broken up. This recession has hit everyone!! I now work as a school caretaker, its a very good job which i enjoy doing. I left the Merchant Navy in 2001 after 28 years, some of my best times and fondest memories were with Shell.
04/01/2009 - 11:02 A lot of years have passed since leaving Shell, but i really enjoyed my time with them. It wasn't always good in fact there were periods that i hated. You have too take the rough with the smooth, over all it was really good experience. My favourite times were not in port but doing a night watch on the bridge at sea, standing on the wing listening to the sea break on the bow. Mind you getting into port wasn't so bad!!! Well if you remember me you're welcome to contact me on my e-mail Sean :-)

EULOTA (2)

The Eulota was, after 12 years, my last ship with Shell. I joined my first Shell tanker in 1974 and paid off my last tanker in 1986.

This was my first F class ship, i spent almost a year on the Ficus between Aug 76 and July 77. This was one of my favourites.

HALIA (1)

The Halia was, for me, the best ship in the Shell fleet. I always sailed with good crews on her.

LATIA (2)
