| 11/06/2005 - 15:41 | My father, Ted Reed, was a Royal Navy DEMS gunner in SS Agatha from 1942-1944. He died in 1985. He told me that one of the ships he served in (I cannot remember which one) was torpedoed off North Africa. I believe it was the Agatha, but as she was scrapped in 1957 she must have been salvaged. I would like to know if there is any written record of the Agatha's and the Opalia's(1) war service. |
